Face & Neck

Face and Neck Lift

A facelift repositions and tightens the underlying facial muscles (the SMAS layer), removes excess skin, and re-drapes the remaining skin for a smoother, more youthful contour along the jawline, cheeks, and neck. It is typically performed under general anaesthesia or local anaesthesia with sedation, with surgery lasting between two and four hours depending on the extent of work needed. Most patients return to work and light social activity within two to three weeks, with final results settling over three to six months as swelling fully resolves.

Facial Rejuvenation

With ageing many changes occur in the face. These changes include not only the development of wrinkles, but also a thinning of tissues (skin, fat, muscle, bone) and drooping of structures. The combination of these changes affects not only your appearance, but also how people respond to you. A face that was previously young and happy can come to look old, gaunt, unhappy, grumpy, surly, angry, tired, closed, or any combination of these.

As we age, the face and neck lose volume, elasticity, and definition — skin loosens, muscles descend, and fat redistributes unevenly. The result is often a tired or older appearance that doesn't reflect how you feel. Facial plastic surgery is not about changing who you are; it is about restoring the healthy, rested appearance you had before these changes took hold.

Dr Marion Grob offers a full range of surgical and non-surgical facial rejuvenation options, tailored to your anatomy, goals, and the degree of change you are looking for. Many patients combine procedures — for example a facelift with upper eyelid surgery — to achieve a more balanced, harmonious result in a single recovery period.
